England Pull Off Miraculous Escape In Fourth Test

England Pull Off Miraculous Escape in Fourth Test

Epic Ashes Series Ends in Draw

England Held On For Dear Life

The fourth Test match of the Ashes series between Australia and England ended in a draw on Wednesday, with England managing to pull off a miraculous escape act in the final innings. Set an unlikely target of 388 to win, England reached 30-0 at the close of play, with openers Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed seeing out the last 15 overs of the day without losing a wicket.

The draw means that the Ashes series remains alive going into the fifth and final Test in Hobart, starting on January 14. Australia currently lead the series 2-1, so a win in Hobart would see them retain the urn. For England, a draw or a win would be enough to see them regain the Ashes.

The fourth Test was a see-saw affair, with Australia dominating the first two days before England fought back in the second innings. Usman Khawaja was the star of the show for Australia, scoring his second century of the match in the second innings. Khawaja's knock of 265 helped Australia set England a daunting target, but the English batsmen showed great determination to bat out for a draw.

The draw in the fourth Test was a fair result, with both sides playing well at different stages of the match. England will be the happier of the two teams, as they managed to avoid defeat and keep the Ashes series alive. However, Australia will still be confident of winning the series in Hobart and retaining the urn.
